The Neshamah of God- the breath of God

The Neshamah of God- the breath of God

It has been a while that the Lord is been talking to me about His “Neshamah”.

(Strong's 5397. Neshamah)                                                                                                                                                                                   Definition- breath                                                                                                                                                                                             Translation - blast (2), breath (15), breathes (1), life (1), persons alive (1), spirit (2), who breathed (3).                                                    noun feminine breath; — Deuteronomy 20:16 .; construct  Genesis 2:7 10t.; Job 27:3; Job 34:14; Isaiah 57:16

Neshamah is deferent from Ruach, “Ruach” which is the “Spirit” of God also translated as “wind”.

I would like to explain how we are made and where the Neshamah fits in;

You get the conscious mind: the things we know of or our memory’s we can access easily.                                                                     Sub-conscious mind: it can be memory’s that we blocked out because of pain or trauma.

Then you have your soul that is your personality, this is what makes who you are, what you like and dislike. It is this soul that has to be transformed into the image of Christ. For it is our soulless nature that sins. Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect  will .”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal”

Your spirit is the place which YHVH took from Himself and placed into us. It is our spirit that connects us to the Spirit of YHVH. That is why YHVH said in John 4:24 “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

Only our spirit man can worship YHVH and our soul must come into submission to our spirit as our spirit comes into submission to Holy Spirit - Galatians 5:24 “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.”

And in the centre of your spirit is the Neshamah of God - the breath of God. That is where we are made in the image of God. Genesis 1:27 “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them”. That is where the Glory of God is inside of you are.

1 Corinthians 3:16 “Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst”

2 Corinthians 4:6-7 “Because the God who said, Out of darkness light shall shine, is the One who shined in our hearts to illuminate the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the Excellency of the power may be of God and not out of us.”

The Neshamah is the God created breath of life.

Genesis 2:7  “Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath/spirit of life (neshamah), and the man became a living being.”

Neshamah is separate from your soul and spirit, but works with your soul, spirit and Holy Spirit. It is something YHVH gave us so that we can know and understand the things in the spirit. The Neshamah is the Lamp of the Lord inside of you. Proverbs 20:27 “The human spirit (Neshamah) is the lamp of the LORD that sheds light on one's inmost being”

Neshamah gives life and understanding or discernment. Job 32:8 “But it is the spirit in a person, the breath (neshamah) of the Almighty, that gives them understanding.”

Job 33:4 “The Spirit of God has made me; the breath (neshamah) of the Almighty gives me life”

Daniel 2:22 “He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him”- The light of the Lord in me will shine and show all the darkness inside of me.  It is the neshamah that allows me to connected and know the Lord and connected to His Life.

Inside of the neshamah is where the anointing of the Lord is.

To truly understand the anointing of the Lord we must surrender all that we are in Him. He will start to transform us by the renewing of our mind. He will then start to prune us and cut of the dead works. This is where we start to produce the Fruits of the Spirit. Trading one seed for another. Allowing the Lord to come and examine our fruit. It is here, where we truly learn how much of us is in Yeshua and how much we still have to die. As the Lord starts to shine the lamp inside of us, we are able to get the darkness out of us and move into the marvellous Light that is Yeshua. John 1:4-5 “In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” For as we allow the Light to shine in us, we start to move in the Light, that is Yeshua and we can start to deal with trauma or sin, even generational sin. It is here that we start to move into a deeper level of intimacy as the Lord ask you to obey His voice. It is here that we are transformed into the image of Christ. I have learned that the deeper you go, the softer His voice becomes, so that you have to start to drain out the other voices of self.

It is a very humble place when the Lord starts to ask you to give a “Terumah” sacrifice or offering. A Terumah offering is a set apart free will offering unto the Lord to be sacrificed (Exodus 25:1-8). It will start with something small but as you grow in intimacy with YHVH, it becomes bigger. And if you give a Terumah offering out of love to the Lord, it does not become something that is too hard for you. The Lord is always testing your heart, your abidance to Him. That is how the anointing on your life grows. Anointing is not the gifts that you receive, because that is given freely to you for the Kingdom to prosper. 1 Corinthians 12 and James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows”

Ephesians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing gin the heavenly places,”

True anointing is birthed inside of your inner most parts and the Neshamah of God- the breath of God is what gives it live in your life. The Lord will never ask you to sacrifice something if He has not given you something to replace it with. He will never let you do something if He has not already given you a bigger vision of what is to come and anchored in His Word.

The Lord asked me recently to give Him a Terumah offering. As I started to give out of love I heard the Lord ask of me “give Me all that you have in obedience and love. Do not leave anything for yourself in this hour.” In this proses of emptying myself I started to realise how much I kept for myself. Things that I thought I gave to the Lord was still in my hands. Because I was only now realising the price of obedience and wat true anointing is.

We view obedience as giving something we love to the Lord with the promise that He will give it back to us someday. But we are so wrong. Obedience is letting the Lord come and take what He has given you, and replacing it with the Neshamah of God- the breath of God in your life, so that the things He gives you will not be dead works but for His Glory. YHVH asked Abraham to give a Terumah offering and sacrificed Jacob. That is what YHVH is asking of me and you. To offer the things of promise to Him so that He can take it and blow His breath of Life into it, with the intention of His Glory to come through the anointing on your life, with the purpose of it to be displayed for all to see. This is where the Lion of Juda inside of you starts to Roar as you walk in the anointing of the Lord through intimacy.

To give a true Terumah offering is knowing that you have given all that you are. That you will stand naked and allow the Lord to come and cloth you with His rightness. Not even allowing your ministry, prophesy, destiny or dream to stand between the intimacy of you and the Lord. For when the Lord wants to move you into a deeper intimacy, He will sometimes ask deeper intimacy of you, so that you will go deeper. And when He blows new life into the new thing, it will truly be alive in Christ.

I want to make it very clear, that when the Lord removes His Neshamah, you will die. For it is the breath of life that leaves you. When the Lords takes His Neshamah from a ministry or place, the breath of life is no longer there and Holy Spirit cannot move. And that is when it becomes works of flesh and dead works for the Lord.  But if He is asking you to give up your ministry or child, He gives you a promise that out of your obedience to Him, you will grow in intimacy and the anointing inside of you will grow. And when He provides you with a new ministry or brings your child back to you, His Neshamah will be upon it.

I pray that all of us will come before the Lord and willingly sacrifice all that we are, all that He Has given us. Giving Him back our ministry, prophesy, destiny, dream, children, marriage, job, gifts of the Spirit even our lives. Asking Him to strip us of self, pride, and dead works, Allowing Him to take us deeper into His percent’s so that the anointing of the Lord can flow of a place of intimacy and obedience. Allowing Him to breathe His Neshamah into all things in our lives. So thst we can truly be His hands and feet.
